Still working on the master bedroom

We have been decorating our bedroom since we moved in, two years ago.  If you’re like us (lazy, broke and tired) these things take a little while.

We (and by we you know I mean Big Daddy. I don’t lift a paint brush, y’all). painted the room a dark gray not too long after we moved in. (Ok, maybe it was 8 months after we moved in, but that’s not so bad). Then we acquired the bed of my dreams; a mirrored night stand for me and a big desk, also for me.

This month Big Daddy bought a big ole 3D TV and hung it on the wall in our room. (Were you aware there is 3D porn? There is). And he did this neat trick where he put a hole in the wall behind the tv, put all the plugs in there and then put another hole near the bottom of the wall for the plugs to come out. So for a couple weeks the cable modem, dvd player, and a couple other things that I don’t even know what the fuck they are, have been piled in our floor. Waiting. For just the perfect place in which to put them.

So after surfing pinterest for hours and showing Big Daddy exactly what I liked, he came home with a fantastic find from the thrift store. A mid-century modern buffet. We will hide all the above crap inside and put pretty things on top (hear that Big Daddy? Pretty things. Not your loose change, keys and routers). I’m excited!

I have no idea why my wall looks blue! It’s dark gray. Lighting? Flash? Both? Whatevs. Isn’t the buffet dreamy?

We’re getting there, you guys! We need a nightstand for Big Daddy and a something for the seating area. I was originally thinking fainting couch, but those are pricey and do you really need one so close to your bed? Now I’m leaning towards comfy chair and a floor lamp. Hmmm.
