Twenty thirteen
How is your year going so far? Things are going really well here. Except my kids are still out of school. And I’m about at the end of my rope (and bottle of Ketel One).
For some reason this year Christmas break started later so now they have off this entire first week of January. Me no likey. January 2nd adults should be back at work and kids should be back at school. It’s the natural order of things. The tree is down, the toys have been put away (and lost their appeal) and it’s time everyone get back to work!
There is just entirely too much whining (I’m bored! She hit me! I don’t want to clean my room) and in-fighting. It’s even sunny and gorgeous outside and I can’t get these heathens out of my house. No, they want to know what I’m going to do every minute of everyday to entertain them. Turn the TV on, that’s what. And possibly point you in the direction of google so you can look up how to make snow flakes.
On the bright side? It’s Friday! And school starts Monday! And this afternoon we are meeting Big Daddy at GameWorks in Seattle. Where I can drink a martini and play air hockey. And my kids will be thrilled. Ain’t life grand?
