There was a lot of Halloweening going on around here this weekend. Friday Zeta went to a party at one of her classmate’s houses. When we  picked her up she was covered from hair to boot in hay. Jemima took one look at her and said, “Zeta! You look like a scare ho!” Which everyone thought was hilarious. (I really should have taken a picture of her, but we were too busy talking her into going to a restaurant looking like a scare ho, that I didn’t think of it)

There was pumpkin carving, carnival attending and house decorating going on.

Big Daddy and I watched “Halloween” while the girls watched “The Witches.” “Halloween” just never gets old. It may be one of the worst horror films ever made, but it’s so bad it’s good! (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans, did you know that’s Kyle Richards starring as the little girl being babysat by the brunette slut?!)

The weather has been perfect for Halloween! Windy, grey and spitting rain. I absolutely love this time of year! Have I mentioned that before?

The girls received their annual care package from our good friends in San Diego.

My friend, Molly’s boys fill an empty 2 liter soda bottle with candy, stickers, tattoos, hair ties and other fun stuff every Halloween! How cool is that? (The money is from their Nanny & Pop. It was a good mail day).

And I got this kick-ass t-shirt from the same friends.

Molly’s the one who told me (for years) to watch Breaking Bad. And when I was lamenting my choice in presidential candidates on Facebook, she sent me this shirt. I love it.

Are you ready for Halloween?

  2. Those pumpkins put ours to shame! Poor Olivia, on the way to the bus today, she was all, “Mommy! We did not put up ONE Halloween decoration! Not one!” Oh, what a horrible childhood she’s having.

Melisa, the girls went crazy on us last year for our lack of decorations. So this year we’re making it up to them. Well, it’s really all Big Daddy. I may have bought a few things at Spirit, but he did all the major stuff.

Katy, I know! I was blown away by the carvings they did. All on their own! I don’t have any of those skills.
