I was looking at the goals I had set for 2010 and I didn’t do too badly. I set goals, by the way, I don’t make resolutions. I’m not sure what the difference is, but it works for me. Semantics.  I did become a better cook, I blogged more, I learned to knit (not very well, but I’m confident I will one day get the hang of it) and I bought a house! Here is what is on the list for 2011. Some are roll overs from last year and some are new:

  • Stick to a budget
  • Paint the house
  • Have more patience with my kids, my spouse and myself
  • Get organized
  • Sew more
  • Bake
  • Entertain more
  • Lose weight/get healthy; and
  • Finish my book!

That last one is a little scary, but I just read that if you spend a half hour a day writing, you could write a page a day. 365 pages by the end of the year. I can do that!

Whether you’re super happy to kiss 2010 goodbye or looking forward to another banner year, raise your glass. Happy New Year.
