Moms Gone Wild
One of my bffs is coming to town this weekend! I am SO excited!! This girl makes me so happy!! She is so fun, and joyful and has this amazing energy. Also? She completely gets me. Not many people do. I tend to wear on people. Even those that truly love me. But Lisa seems to be able to put up with me and all my crap. For long stretches of time. And you know what else? She appears to actually dig all my crap! Ha! She makes me feel so good about myself and like even my neurosis are appealing. Freaking talented, right? So I am just super excited to get all that love and joy from her and you know what else will be going on? I will be sleeping in a hotel. Over night. Like all night. Without children. Do you understand what this means? I will be getting uninterrupted sleep for several hours. No one coughing in the night. No one crying in the night. No one slipping into my bed and kicking me in the ribs in the night. Complete bliss.
You know what else? We’re going out to dinner. Without children. But with lots of alcohol!! And lushes that we are, I can pretty much guarantee they’ll be alcohol with breakfast. Mimosas or Bloody Mary’s or what the hell – BOTH! With no one hanging on me and whining and asking for food that isn’t on the menu!!!
Ahhhh, no wiping noses, no wiping butts, no refereeing fights, no searching high and low for the lost blankey, no arguing about bedtime, no cooking! No cleaning! No picking up after 4 other people!!
But what will there be? Say it with me, people: Alcohol and Sleep!!! And shopping!!! With my bff!! Who could ask for anything more? I’m such a lucky, lucky girl!!! Oh and possibly spa treatments! I need to get on that.
This will be us. Only 20 years older:

Chrissy, come!!!
Trish! I may cough all night and kick you in the ribs. And with enough drinking you may be wiping me too you know!! Seriously, I am so excited to see you. I always leave feeling fired up and filled up after being with you. Keep it real girly!! Counting the hours!
It’s all good, Lisa. I’m sure I’ll be snoring. And so drunk I won’t feel the kicks to the ribs
