Do other moms with blogs tell their kids they have a blog? My life is pretty much an open book.  To everyone. I am an over-sharer. So the girls know I have a blog. Also, when they want me to get them cereal or juice or some shit I tell them to hang on, I’m blogging and I need to concentrate! They don’t like that. And really? They aren’t too impressed by the blog. Little shits. Here are a few things they’ve had to say about it recently. Enjoy!

“Mom, why is it called 3 kids and a breakdown? You don’t love us?”

“Who cares about your stupid blog?”

“No one reads it, anyway.”

“You know what you should blog about? How much I love my iPod!”

“All you care about is your blog!”

“Why’d you even have a third kid for? You don’t take care of her cause you’re too busy blogging!” (that would be my love of hyperbole she’s inherited.  Also my desire to make others feel bad about themselves.  Kidding!  She got that from her father.)

“You better not blog about my hurt kitty. I mean VA. GI. NA.” *as she rolls her eyes so far back in her head I think she might fall over. Or her eyes will get stuck that way*

What do you blog for anyway?”

“Why can’t I read your blog? Huh?! Is it all about how baaad I am?”

Why the disdain? Why so bored with and over me? Why the attitude about the damn blog? And most importantly, why are they 5 and 6 going on 15 and 16?! Just what do I have to look forward to in ten years? And what are they teaching my sweet baby? You know what really drives me nuts about this? It takes me between 10 and 20 minutes to write a post. They can’t manage without my services and undivided attention for that long?
