You Have Great Hair!
My hair is a mess. Always. It’s a freaking nightmare. It’s not curly and it’s definitely not straight. It’s a giant frizz ball of a mess. I have so much hair it is insane! I have to have my hair thinned every time I get my hair cut, which is about every 8 weeks. So couple the bulk with the frizz and it’s really not a pretty sight. My husband likes to say I have a Jew ‘fro and he’s really not far from the mark. Think Art Garfunkel with hair to the middle of his back. Yuck.
So then why is it every time I go to a new stylist I am told I have great hair? And that it does exactly what they want it to do? Huh? My hair? The hair that looks like I stuck my finger in a light socket? After I have applied leave-in conditioner, smoothing cream, dried it with a giant round brush, put giant hot rollers in it and used a flat iron? Hmmm. What am I doing wrong?
Today I had my first appointment with the owner of Defining Moments here on Bainbridge. Immediately he tells me I have great hair. And not only that, but that it is glamorous! That’s right. This rat’s nest is glamorous! After having it up in a pony tail for two days it was a bit calm, but come on! It was a voluminous mess!! But he said the little wave thing I had going on over my right eye was glamorous. Ala Rita Hayworth as a matter of fact. So who am I to argue? Hear that, Honey? Rita Hayworth! Not a Jew ‘fro.
By the way, Jason did an amazing job with this mess! He thinned it out so much I felt like I had lost 10 lbs (if only!). He also fixed my layers so that they blend oh so much better than they did. To finish me off he used a flat iron. I have never in my life seen my hair this straight! And probably never will again. So, if you happen to see me tonight or tomorrow take a good long look. Maybe I should take a picture.

Ooohhhh, Mama!!! It looks fabulous!! Get a good flat iron and I bet you could do it yourself. Maybe the new cut made all the difference…?
You look fabulous, darling!
Hi Trish,
I love the smooth, sleek look of your hair! Is it hard to maintain?
I think I need a new (better) flat iron if I want it this sleek and smooth. But it is looks so much better since the haircut! Without all the bulk it is much easier to keep the frizz under control.
Looks great! Reminds me of Pattiann’s when she gets it straightened
