What To Get the Man Who Hates Everything?

My husband is extremely hard to shop for. It’s not that he doesn’t have any interests or desire for new gadgets, games and books. Quite the opposite – my man is way into video games, D&D, playing the ukulele and a few other hobbies/interests. The problem is I know nothing about these things and have no clue what would be a cool gift and what would warrant a giant eyeroll and a “You really don’t know me at all,” from him.  To make matters worse, he buys himself whatever he wants, when he wants. Rather than let me know he’d like a particular item for Christmas, his birthday, Father’s Day or our anniversary, he just buys it. The day it comes out. That’s the other thing.  He has to have the first edition of everything. I’ll think I’ve found something new and he’ll be all, “Yeah, I got that 6 months ago.”

So what is a thoughtful wife who would like to actually surprise her husband to do? Of course she searches the internet and Googles things like “gifts for techies.” Which led me to this list of gifts for the “uber geek.”  Nothing looked like anything my husband would be remotely interested in. So I showed him the list and he confirmed my fears. None of these gadgets are at all appealing to him. 

Unless he comes up with a list of suggestions, I will be giving him home made gift certificates for blow jobs. Which is probably first on his list anyway.
